Lunch with the League: Water Economics

In May, the Santa Clara Valley Water District will continue the discussion of public agencies dealing with the current economic conditions. In addition, SCVWD will be providing information on what the District does for future funding which may include the tax measure on this fall's ballot.

May 18, Rick Callender, Director for Government Relations of the Santa Clara Valley Water District, will be our speaker.

To make reservations, register online, preferred method, or email Lunch with the League by May 16. Please include your choice of Chicken Penne or Grilled Salmon. Lunch includes salad and the cost is $20, including tax and tip.

June 16, Annual Meeting and Luncheon. Reservations deadline is June 8.

The June 5, 2012 Election

Candidate Forums and Pros and Cons meetings are being held around Santa Clara County. For dates and locations go to the Leagues of Women Voters of Santa Clara County.

On May 12 the League of Women Voters of the Los Altos-Mountain View Area will sponsor a Pros and Cons presentation. For details see the flyer.

On May 18 from 7:00-9:30PM in the Cupertino Community Hall, 10350 Torre Avenue, Cupertino a candidate forum will be held with candidates for State Senate district 13 & Senate District 15 and State Assembly district 24 & Assembly District 28. This forum will focus on education and particularly on education funding at the state level.

On May 24 from 7:00-9:00PM the League of Women Voters of the Los Altos-Mountain View Area will sponsor a candidate forum for Superior Court Office 5 and Office 7 judicial candidates. The forum will be held at Mountain View City Hall, Council Chambers, 500 Castro ST, Mountain View.
